Welcome to our site.  Chord of Three is a trio from a family steeped in a tradition of gospel music.  They bring to the stage a blend of harmony that only family members can generate.  Sisters Brenda Woodson and Judy Whaley, along with lead singer Melissa McCullough, create a unique blend of voices with a fresh sound yet still maintain that original old time spirit of good gospel music.  They live near the Nashville, TN area and sing in churches and concerts.

Chord of Three was awarded the Music City Gospel Showcase Favorite Female Group of the Year in 2003 and 2006.  They were also nominated in the Trio of the Year category in the first round ballot for the 2005 and 2006 CCMA awards and in the southern gospel category for the prestigious 2006 Dove Awards.  They have had several songs on major gospel industry charts such as U S Gospel News, CCMA Power Source, and Country Gospel Music Guild.  In 2006, It Was Love, the title cut from their current project charted in the top 20 of the Power Source Christian Country Top 100.  Another radio single from the same project, Are You Washed In The Blood hit #1 on the Country Gospel Music Guild Top 80.  They have made appearances with Don Frost on the Music City Gospel Showcase telecast,  with Jimmy Snow on TCT, and with Roger Neal & Friends Sing For MS, The Miracle of Christmas.

They sing a variety of Christian music and their latest project, It Was Love includes southern gospel, traditional, country gospel and one contemporary selection.  Even though the southern gospel genre best suits their style, they enjoy singing and performing other types of Christian music.  The mission of Chord of Three is to lead in worship and bring honor and glory to our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.
